During his visit to Gujarat on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate projects worth Rs 1,654 crore under the urban development department, including the Mumatpura flyover, a part of whose carriageway deck had collapsed during a stress test in December 2021. The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is currently conducting a load test on the flyover. The projects will be inaugurated remotely from the Mahatma Mandir.
Other projects he will inaugurate are under the water supply department, worth Rs 734 crore, projects for road and transport department (Rs 39 crore) and for mines and minerals department (Rs 25 crore).
