NEW DELHI: On the occasion of World Health Day, SELCO Foundation and IKEA Foundation have launched a project ‘Energy for Health’ to strengthen public health infrastructure.
To be implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW),the National Health Mission and state Health department , this is a step towards improving universal health care using solar energy while also supporting India’s ambitions for climate adaptation and mitigation.
The initiative will bring solar energy solutions with efficient medical and electrical equipment to 25,000 healthcare facilities across resource-constrained, climate vulnerable regions in 12 states by 2026.
