New Delhi: Pratt & Whitney, which has been facing problems regarding its engines mounted on Airbus 320neo aircraft, on Thursday announced the appointment of a new managing director for its India office, Ashmita Sethi.
Shethi has previously worked for Boeing and Rolls Royce in corporate and public affairs and communications.
The development comes in the wake of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) issuing a fresh warning earlier this week about a potential dual engine-failure on Airbus A320neo family planes fitted with Pratt and Whitney engines. In India, InterGlobe Avition Ltd-promoted IndiGo has 98 aircraft of the A320neo family, while GoAir has 37 of A320 neos.
