Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company on Thursday kick-started the work for construction of a 132/33 kv EHT substations-II at Siltara.
The substation being built at a cost of Rs. 23.82 crore will benefit all the nearby industrial units.
The power company has expedited the construction work on all the suspended projects to strengthen and expand the transmission network both in rural and urban areas following a directive from the Chief Minister.
Immediately after taking charge Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel instructed the power company to complete all the transmission projects within a time frame.
Chairman of all Chhattisgarh state-owned power companies Shailendra Shukla said 36 numbers of transmission networks have been indentified for completion in coming years. It will cost Rs. 1000 crore.
