The power and irrigation police cell of the power department has set a target of recovering a penalty of at least Rs 3 crore from those booked for power theft in the past four years.
The penalty of Rs 34.97 crore is yet to be recovered from a total of 6,175 cases, which were under investigation or pending to be resolved, it is learnt.
