CHENNAI: Former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday announced that the AIADMK would hold a state-wide agitation on September 16 to condemn the DMK government for increasing the power tariff and to seek rollback of the hike.
The agitation will be held in all party district unit headquarters at 10.30am. In an official release, Palaniswami said the DMK had returned to power after making promises that it would not hike power tariff, bus fare or milk price, but increased the power tariff and left the people suffering hardships.
