Laying emphasis on the re-use of treated wastewater, Haryana Water Resources Authority, Chairperson, Keshni Anand Arora directed the officers of the concerned departments including the bulk consumers like thermal power plants, industries, agriculture, horticulture, infrastructure, etc. in the state to strictly follow the norms laid down under the Re-use of Treated Waste Water Policy, 2019. The Government of Haryana has recently made amendments in the Haryana Water Resources Authority Act, 2020, to delegate power to the Authority to enforce the treated Wastewater policy of the Government. Anand Arora gave these directions during a meeting held at Haryana Niwas, Chandigarh in which various stakeholders and concerned departments joined the meeting regarding the re-use of treated wastewater through video conferencing.
