A power outage was reported from some pockets in central and south Mumbai on Sunday morning, resulting in halting of the local train services on one rail line, officials said.
“Due to some technical issues, there has been power supply failure at many parts of the city. Our team is on the field to resolve the issue. The power supply is expected to be restored in an hour. We regret the inconvenience,” the civic body tweeted.
Train movement halted between Andheri and Churchgate railway stations as the power supply stopped, Western Railway’s chief public relations officer Sumit Thakur said.
