Over 27 lakh power employees across the country will leave their workplace in protest against the tabling of the Indian Electricity (Amendment) Bill, 2022 in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
The All India Power Engineers Federation reiterated its appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter and stop the tabling of the bill in Parliament so that this bill is not passed in haste.
The AIPEF said the bill should not be rushed through in Parliament and should be referred to the standing committee of Parliament for detailed scrutiny.
