BENGALURU: Power outages have shorted productivity in Bengaluru, and industry heads are making their displeasure known.
Members of Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday said this has resulted in damage to raw material, lower quality products and losses in production at industries and factories in Bengaluru.
At a meeting with Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) managing director C Shikha, they pointed out business has taken a severe hit.
Representatives of food, flour milling, apparel making, pharma, electronics and other industries told the Bescom chief that reliability of power supply was crucial to the productivity and profitability of their businesses.
