Power failure has affected many areas of the State capital, including the VIP localities such as Kanke Road, in the past few days. However, the Jharkhand Bijli Vitaran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) has denied any major lapses in the supply system, claiming that the power supply was obstructed only on Tuesday due to maintenance in Hatia Grid 2.
“The Hatia Grid 2 was under maintenance from morning till 5pm on Tuesday. This affected power supply in areas such as Kanke Road and some other localities,” said MP Yadav, Public Relations Officer of JBVNL. “No major lapses were reported in the past one week. Isolated glitches may have causes power failure in some localities,” he added.
