Chhattisgarh State Power Companies, taking initiative for greener state, has launched the first e-vehicle battery charging station at its headquarters at Sewa Bhawan, Dangania on Wednesday.
The station has been started as part of an agreement with public sector company, the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), Government of India. Power Companies chairman Shailendra Shukla inaugurated the facility.
With more and more e-vehicles being used to control pollution, there has been a need for charging stations. Additional to it, the Power Company has also decided to use electrical vehicles for which three battery operated vehicle services have been also started. More such vehicles will be used.
