Heavy rains in September have washed away the roads of the state and it has been revealed that more than 500 roads of about one and a half thousand kilometers length are in dilapidated condition. There are many roads on which there are potholes up to 2 feet deep.
There is a possibility of rain for a few days. Therefore the roads will not be repaired. As soon as the rain stops after September 25, efforts to improve the condition of the roads will begin.
There are about 4900 kilometers of Municipal Corporation and PWD roads in Bhopal. About 30 percent of these roads have become dilapidated due to rain.
