Bengaluru: Gujarat’s wind and solar energy projects have attracted poor participation of late, leading to a continuous bid postponements.
The submission of techno-commercial bids for the state’s 1,000 MW solar tender took place for the third time on Saturday and drew offers for only 50 MW. Industry officials attributed the tepid response to the tariff, which was capped at Rs 2.75 per unit, which they consider unviable.
The next submission date has been scheduled for May 4. Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. confirmed the development.
