Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Monday directed DMs and SPs of all districts to take effective steps in closing the “unauthorized cuts” on national highways in the state.
The court directed the North 24 Parganas and Jalpaiguri DMs to file reports on September 11 on the handing over of land to the NHAI acquired for the four-laning of the 17.7km NH-34 stretch between Krishnagore and Barajaguli and the 5.5km stretch on NH-27 at Binnaguri.
The bench also directed NTPC to file a compliance report over the supply of the promised fly ash for building of access roads to the bridges on the national highways.
