NEW DELHI: A businessman filed a complaint with Delhi Police after a petrol pump employee refused to accept a Rs 2,000 note in South Extension Part 1. The complaint was filed on Friday and an investigation was going on.
The businessman alleged that he went to a petrol pump to fill up his scooter tank. He gave a Rs 2,000 note against a payment of Rs 400, but the petrol pump attendant refused to take the note. “Despite me repeatedly saying that I don’t have change and that is why I am giving the note, he denied taking it,” the complainant said.
He waited for at least an hour at the petrol pump to give the payment, but the attendant did not take it, despite the fact that their transactions were deposited in the bank on the same or next day.
