NEW DELHI : Petrol and diesel prices were cut for the second day in row today. Petrol is now cheaper by 15 paise a litre and diesel by 13 paise a litre in Delhi. Since the beginning of this year, petrol price has been cut by ₹4 and diesel price by ₹4.15, a litre each.
In Delhi, a litre of petrol is priced at ₹71.14 per litre and diesel at ₹63.81 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol is selling at ₹76.83 per litre and diesel at ₹66.82 per litre. In Chennai, a litre of petrol will cost ₹73.91 per litre whereas diesel is now priced at ₹67.34 per litre. In Bengaluru, petrol is now selling at ₹73.58 and diesel at ₹65.99. In Hyderabad, petrol pumps will charge ₹75.62 for petrol and ₹69.47 for diesel.
Petrol and diesel prices are likely to be hiked from next month across the country as fuel retailers are graduating to BS-VI fuel from April 1.
