NEW DELHI : Reflecting global crude oil rates, the price of petrol and diesel dropped for the second consecutive day today. Petrol price dropped by 18 paise a litre and diesel by 8 paise per litre today, a day after a decline of 10 paise and 8 paise, respectively.
In Delhi, a litre of petrol now costs ₹74.33 per litre and diesel ₹67.35. In Mumbai, petrol costs ₹79.93 a litre and diesel ₹70.61 a litre. In Bengaluru, petrol is priced at ₹76.81 and diesel ₹69.59. In Hyderabad, petrol costs ₹79.04 and diesel ₹73.44. In Gurgaon, petrol is priced at ₹73.92 and diesel ₹66.43. If you are in Chennai, you will have to pay ₹77.21 for petrol and ₹71.15 for diesel.
Since September 17, the price of petrol has gone up more than ₹2 while that of diesel by more than ₹1.5 a litre.
