Undoubtedly, generators are a boon for the growth of industries, factories and households. However, they make a lot of noise while operating and they even emit harmful gases & particulate matter. The emissions are detrimental for the environment and they deteriorate the quality of air. On the other hand, the excessive noise generated due to their operation can affect the ears.
Both of these factors impact the environment and affect the quality of life of people living around. So, they should be kept to a minimum level at all times during the operation of a generator. That is why the Government of India has laid down both emission limits and noise limit for petrol & kerosene gensets in order to reduce pollution.
