MUMBAI: The city’s peak power demand once again crossed the 3,400MW-mark on Thursday. Sources in power utility firms said the peak demand had risen to 3,444MW with less rain and increasing humidity. It had breached the 3,400MW-mark earlier on August 18 and 21. Power consumption in island city was close to 800MW, said sources.
The highest peak power demand ever in Mumbai was on June 9 this year — at 4,129MW.
