BENGALURU: Passengers on board a Qatar Airways flight (QR-573) scheduled to fly from Bengaluru to Doha on Thursday, were forced to sit inside the aircraft for nearly eight hours before their flight was declared cancelled due to a technical snag.
The flight was to depart from Kempegowda International Airport at 3.40am and reach Doha at 6am. After boarding the flight on time, passengers were made to sit inside the aircraft, which was parked on the tarmac.
“@qatarairways you made me sit in your aircraft in Bangalore today for 8 hours while you claimed you were fixing the plane. Then you booked a hotel 2 hours away after failing. Where did you learn how to subject people to this treatment (sic)?” tweeted @anirudhdenirudh.
“@qatarairways had a very bad experience on the flight from Bangalore to Doha today. Sat on the tarmac cos of technical issues and eventually canceled. Very disappointing direction and service at bangalore airport (sic),” tweeted @shinoj_R.
