The sudden decision by cash-strapped Go First to cancel its flights for May 3 and 4 after filing for voluntary insolvency before the National Company Law Tribunal has left flyers who had booked their flights with the airline confused and infuriated.
The airline officials have clarified that they were forced to take the decision as the company is facing a financial crunch due to non-supply of engines from the supply firm, which in turn has forced the company to ground half of its fleet.
Flyers from Pune who had done advance booking to fly with the airline on May 3 and 4 took to social media to express their confusion and anger after getting cancellation messages from the airline or flight booking services.
