The Delhi Police has detained a 25-year-old man for allegedly misbehaving with and assaulting crew on a London-bound Air India flight Monday. The incident took place shortly after the plane took off from the Delhi International Airport.
The man, Jaskirat Singh Padda, hailing from Kapurthala in Punjab, was travelling with his parents. Police said an hour after take off, he allegedly tried to open the emergency exit. Police officers said the cabin crew tried to stop him but he allegedly hurled abuses.
“The man was seen at the door and was trying to open it. The cabin supervisor and her colleague tried to stop him but he threatened to hit them and used unparliamentary language.
