As a major hub for coastal shipping, the Paradip Port stands at No.1 position among Indian ports by handling the highest cargo by coastal shipping in the country.
Presently, the Paradip Port handles coastal shipping of thermal coal from Mahanadi Coalfields to Gencos of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. During FY 2022-23, it handled 42.2MMT coastal thermal coal registering a phenomenal growth of 50% over 28 MMT in previous fiscal.
PPA Chairman PL Haranadh on Wednesday flagged off MV Mana carrying 52,000-MT coal of Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Ltd from the EQ2 berth of PEQCTPL Terminal.
