MUMBAI: A state government-appointed committee probing Mumbai’s power outage on October 12 submitted its report to state energy minister Nitin Raut on Wednesday. The report will be studied by the minister, who will present it to the cabinet, which will announce a decision.
Raut had constituted the panel on October 21 to submit a report within a week but it was given an extension till November, considering the extent of the probe.
The panel was chaired by B G Fernandes (IIT-B) and its members included S A Soman and A M Kulkarni (IIT), M V Aware (VNIT), Faruki Kazi (VJTI), U G Zalte, advisor to the minister, MSEDCL director (operation) Satish Chavan and chief electrical inspector Dinesh Khonde.
