The Yogi government has accelerated efforts to set up 3,000 pink booths across the state and provide pink-coloured scooters to 10,417 women constables under Safe City Project. A proposal in this regard has been prepared and submitted to the government by the Women and Child Protection Organisation and is likely to be implemented soon after the approval of the state government.
In the first phase of the project, it has been decided to construct pink booths at 20 religious places in nine cities of the state, while instructions have been given to provide electric scooters to 1,100 women beat constables in 17 municipal corporations and Gautam Buddha Nagar.
