Hyderabad: Incessant rains have damaged the expressway on the Outer Ring Road. While the water-filled potholes are catching commuters una-wares even in broad daylight, the absence of central median lighting is posing a grave threat to motorists.
Motorists said that though the vehicle speed is restricted to 100 km per hour on the ORR, potholes are damaging the vehicles even at 80 km per hour. It becomes very difficult to control vehicles which run into potholes, and drivers per force have to slow down further. This leaves them vulnerable to rear-end collisions.
