Alleging that ruling Congress has breached its pre-poll promise of making the power tariff completely half and now has set a cap of 400 units, the opposition members staged a walk out from state assembly on Monday.
During Question Hour, Leader of the Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik raised the issue and asked question in the house as what was the scheme of government regarding curtailment of power bill to half. After all, for whom and whom the power tariff would be slashed down, he questioned.
Replying to his query the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel informed in the House that domestic as well as the below poverty line consumers of the state would get the benefit of curtailment of power tariff from the month of March.
