The operational speed of the Airport Express Line of Delhi Metro was on Wednesday increased from 90 kmph to 100 kmph for a month due to which passengers can now reach the Indira Gandhi International Airport in 21 minutes, officials said. After a month of observation, the operational speed could be enhanced to 110 Kmph if the results turn out to be satisfactory, they said, adding that the average speed of metro trains running on regular corridors such as Yellow Line, Blue Line, Red Line, among others, is 40-50 kmph.
