NEW DELHI: CNG four wheelers registered in the capital will not be exempted if the odd-even road use arrangement is implemented for a week from November 13 to 20. Sources in Delhi government said that the draft plan does not exempt CNG vehicles from running solely on days that coincide with their number plate, unlike during the last iteration of the scheme.
“Except for electric vehicles, there will be no fuel-based exception.
Though CNG is a comparatively cleaner fuel, what we have to consider is that a major cause of pollution is vehicular congestion,” a government source said. However, all taxis registered in Delhi, of fuel type, will be given exemption from complying with the day-number requirement.
