Nuclear Power Plants

The Modi government has committed itself to tripling India’s existing nuclear power capability of about 5,000 MW in ten years time. This is impelled by four factors, First, the mammoth energy demand situation of the country. Second, the cost advantage, third, meeting of the emission norms and fourth redefining the energy mix of the country in the long run. In the generation of power, nuclear waste is generated. India is not lacking on this. It manages its N-waste well and uses it for medical purposes as well.
