The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has invited bids to enlist vendors for conducting topographical surveys for renewable energy projects. The surveys would be conducted on plain land, desert, or hilly area.
The scope of work for this project includes traversing, triangulation, and spot-leveling of renewable energy projects. Further, the scope will also include carrying out the benchmark from the nearest Great Trigonometrical Survey (GTS) Benchmark, carrying out spot-level surveying and contour interpolation after the above points are plotted.
The topographical survey of this project and its allied areas would be mandated to show all permanent features/objects, land patterns, carrying the GTS benchmark from the nearest available source. Vendors are also expected to determine the exact latitude and longitude of selected ground control point using a differential global positioning system (DGPS).
Prospective vendors are expected to have experience in traversing, triangulation, and spot-leveling of two different sites of a total size of 250 acres of land each. Further, the average annual turnover of vendors planning to bid for the survey should not be less than ₹1.6 million ($23,000).
The last date of submission of applications for this tender is October 4, 2019.
Recently, NTPC also issued an enlistment tender for the supply of Balance of System (BoS) package for its solar PV projects.
Last month NTPC invited bids to select developers for 1,200 MW of wind energy projects in India. The projects developed under this tender would be connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS) anywhere in the country. The maximum tariff payable to each developer for the tender was set at ₹2.85 ($0.040)/kWh for a term of 25 years. The same month, NTPC issued another tender to set up 1,200 MW of ISTS connected solar projects anywhere in India.
