In the North Western Railway (NWR) zone, electrification of 806 km of railway tracks has been completed so far in the current financial year, an official said on Wednesday.
At a fast pace, the work of electrification of broad gauge lines in the North Western Railway zone is being done for environment-friendly railway operations, said NWR Chief Public Relations Officer Shashi Kiran, reported news agency PTI.
Till now, in the financial year 2023-24, electrification of 806 km of broad gauge lines has been done, he informed. In the zone, the total kilometres of electrified tracks are 4,772 km, the official added.
