In a move aimed at enhancing multi-modal connectivity, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has proposed a revised route plan for the extension of the Blue Line from Noida Electronic City, a TOI report stated. The recent suggestion involves integrating the last proposed station at Sahibabad with the existing Rapid Rail station, according to the DMRC report.
The Sahibabad metro station, as outlined in the report, will be strategically located opposite the current Sahibabad Rapid Rail station in Vasundhara. A foot overbridge will link the two stations on either side of the Link Road, facilitating seamless transit for passengers between the Blue Line and the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail corridor without necessitating them to exit the premises.
