PUNE: Rohit Kumar, a Pune resident, had his GoFirst flight tickets cancelled twice — once on May 3 and then again on May 6. Kumar had to pay almost Rs 16,000 extra to secure the tickets for his wife, but now, he faces a long wait for a refund from the airline.
“I had made the bookings through two travel portals. I got a credit note from the airline, informing me about the refund, by email. However, when I contacted the travel portals, I was told that no refund amount had been received by them. And, therefore, until they receive the money, I won’t get my refund either,” Kumar told TOI.
Another passenger had a similar experience. He too got a credit note about his refund of Rs 4,000 from the airline but has, so far, not received the money.
