Delhi Metro Service Update: Yellow Line commuters, attention! The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has made an announcement that there will be no service between Green Park metro station and Qutab Minar metro station on Yellow Line on Thursday (30 December 2021). There will be no metro operation on this section from the start of service till 6:30 AM due to pre planned maintenance work. Also, during this period, Hauz Khas metro station, Malviya Nagar metro station and Saket metro station will remain closed, according to a tweet shared by the DMRC. However, feeder bus services will be available between Green Park metro station and Qutab Minar metro station during this period, the corporation notified.
Recently, the authorities had issued new travel restrictions in view of rising cases of COVID-19 in Delhi. These restrictions include running of Delhi Metro trains with only 50 per cent seating capacity. Also, there is no provision for standing for commuters inside metro trains. In view of the latest COVID-19 guidelines issued by the city government for the containment of coronavirus in the national capital, travel inside the metro train will be allowed, with certain restrictions, DMRC officials said on Tuesday.
