State-owned NLC India Ltd is planning to diversify its business with a lignite-to-methanol production project and pilot projects in green hydrogen, battery energy storage system and pumped storage, among others.
The company expects to add 6,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 with a capital expenditure target of Rs 22,000 crore, chairman Prasanna Kumar Motupalli told ET.
