The 22.3 km-long third phase of the Delhi-Meerut Expressways from Dasna to Hapur will be inaugurated on September 30. After the completion of this stretch, commuters will be able to reduce travel time by more than an hour. Commuters will be able to reach Hapur from Dasna within 15-20 minutes.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate Dasna-Hapur stretch on September 30. This stretch will have a speed limit of 100 km per hour. The total cost of third phase of this stretch is Rs 1,989 crore.
According to officials, Dasna-Hapur stretch, having 10 lanes, was scheduled to be completed by June, 2019 but work on the stretch was only completed by August 28, after a delay of two months. “The stretch was opened for commuters for trial. Now, the stretch will be formally inaugurated by the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on September 30,” officials said.
