NEW DELHI: Days after designated ‘individual terrorist’ Gurpatwant Singh Pannun released a video message via social media, threatening passengers flying Air India as well as the airline with a global blockade and closure of operations from November 19, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has booked him under the anti-terror law for attempts to target and disrupt the transportation sector in India.
NIA, in a statement released on Monday, said it had charged US-based Pannun — the self-declared ‘General Counsel’ of the banned Khalistani outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) — under provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and the Indian Penal Code.
