Five days after the Sohna road under-construction flyover collapsed, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Wednesday imposed a penalty of Rs 50,000 per day on the contractor and also suspended the work of both agencies working on the project.
The collapsed flyover is part of the 6km elevated road being built along the Sohna Road as part of the Gurugram-Sohna-Alwar highway project which starts from Rajiv Chowk.
Two persons were injured when a huge concrete slab of the under-construction flyover fell on Sohna road on Saturday.
Project Director of NHAI Ashok Sharma said that the construction work on Sohna Road is going on in two parts.
