The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) expects to surpass ₹ 1 lakh crore of asset monetisation by the end of this financial year, garnering about ₹40,000 crore, which would be the highest ever receipt from the exercise since 2018-19.
As per the data reviewed by ET, the total monetisation receipts of the NHAI between 2018-19 and 2022-23 stood at ₹70,441.67 crore. These include monetisation through toll-operate-transfer (TOT) bundle, infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs) and toll securitisation.
