BENGALURU: A new elevated walkway connecting Terminal 1 of Kempegowda International Airport to the car park was unveiled recently.
The fully covered walkway with travelators was much needed as people arriving at KIA to pick up passengers had to take a long walk to the terminal earlier. In a statement, Bangalore International Airport Ltd said the elevated 420-metre structure is designed for pedestrians walking between T1 and parking area for cars. The walkway has travelators, elevators and escalators, making it especially convenient for senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
