With the growing number of traffic volume, the new road network is in the offing in Mohali district. The district administration claims that with the new roads, the traffic issue will be eased out.

The package-I which starts from Ambala-IT City Chowk is within the jurisdiction of NHAI, PIU-Ambala. The projects are within the jurisdiction of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)-Chandigarh. However, land acquisition work is being looked after by the District Revenue Officer (DRO).
