NEW DELHI: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will place the solar policy 2022-23 before its council meeting on Wednesday for the final nod.
NDMC officials said that “the policy is a step towards fulfilling the council’s plan to fully switch to renewable sources of energy by 2025.”
Though the council had approved the draft policy in April, it was decided to invite public suggestions and feedback on the terms and conditions. “A majority of the feedback received were already there in the policy, which is why a decision has been taken to place it before the council meeting for final approval,” NDMC member Kuljeet Chahal said.
