To provide better ticketing and travelling experience in the upcoming RapidX train services, the National Capital Regional Transport Corporation (NCRTC) will provide multiple payment options to commuters to buy tickets through UPI.
According to an NCRTC official, this will be the first time in the country that a UPI-enabled Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) is being installed for any mass transit system. The official added TVMs installed at the RAPIDX stations will also be UPI enabled.
“Commuters buying tickets from TVMs will be able to pay through UPI as well, apart from cash and card. To avail of the facility of the UPI-based payment through TVM, commuters will have to select the ‘Buy Ticket’ option displayed on the screen.
