New Delhi | Mumbai: The Centre may announce restarting flights as early as next week, but business executives seeking to be in Mumbai for important meetings may have to wait longer. Mantralaya is unlikely to allow flights to the financial capital or to any other city in Maharashtra, top officials told ET. “States like Maharashtra have reservations over flight connectivity to the state,” said a government official at the Centre, adding that flight connectivity may not resume in these states.
Maharashtra government officials told ET that they have not said an ‘explicit no’ but have told the Centre that domestic air travel and inter-state trains should only be resumed after consultations with the state.
