The Mumbai Central Station under the Western Railway (WR) will get a new foot overbridge (FOB) by June this year. The Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC) is constructing the new FOB at a cost of Rs 6 crore. The new FOB will connect all five platforms offering express train services.
An official said the FOB work is going on at full speed. Two girders with spans were launched and completed Wednesday.
As per the MRVC, the new FOB will have a 10-metre width and 50-metre length. Whereas, the existing FOB has a six-metre width.
