MUMBAI: “We are creating new system using state of the art technology so that in future, if there is any power outage in island city, our officials will contact you instead of citizens calling up our control room,” said BEST general manager Lokesh Chandra at the event “Bijlee Mahotsav” organised at BEST Bhavan in Colaba on Tuesday.
He also announced that BEST will be procuring nearly 700 MW of clean (solar) energy in future to distribute power to over 10.5 lakh consumers.
The event was attended by NTPC regional executive director Munish Jauhari and Adani Electricity COO Kapil Sharma.
