The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, overseen by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), has achieved a significant milestone by completing 100% land acquisition in Gujarat. The NHSRCL on Monday (October 9) announced that the acquisition of the final parcel of land in Gujarat’s Surat district, specifically in Kathore village, encompassing 4.99 hectares was completed.
Overall, the project required the acquisition of 951.14 hectares of land across eight districts in Gujarat, out of a total project land requirement of 1389.49 hectares. The largest land acquisitions were made in Surat (160.51 hectares), Vadodara (140.3 hectares), Bharuch (140 hectares), and Ahmedabad (133.29 hectares).
