The Inspector General of Police Traffic J&K Alok Kumar held a meeting with the presidents and other representatives of various fruit growers and transport union associations, cold store association of north Kashmir.
The meeting was also attended by SP Traffic Rural Kashmir Muzaffar Ahmad Shah.
The participant representatives of fruit growers/transporters put forth the difficulties faced by them during transportation of the fruit to other parts of the country in view of the road blockades caused due to landslides, shooting stones, etc. as also due to road widening process on NHW-44.
The IGP Traffic J&K assured the representatives that their genuine grievances shall be redressed on priority and in order to ensure hassle-free movement of fruit laden trucks from Kashmir towards Jammu, Mughal Road would be kept available for them for four days a week.
